I'm absolutely in love with this cardigan. The pattern is so well-designed, knitted from the bottom up in one piece and set-in sleeves from the top down. Plus phoney seams too.
Another good thing about this project is also the yarn, sport weight silk/merino blend from Avril that was enabled by Olga and Joujouka (thanks again, ladies), that are no knots and which I used less than 1 hank, hence minimal ends to hide in. Nothing to sew except the buttons! The i-cord neckband still curls, but that's my fault because I didn't steam block it as I'd wanted to. Procrastination. I was apprehensive at first right after finishing this as my gauge was completely off and the negative ease was just much more than planned but I managed to squeezed myself into it as you can see.
Here I am, on the way to breakfast with husband before work.
So this is the haunt that my husband and I usually go to for breakfast before work, a very old (as you can see from the decor), family-run coffee shop in Sheung Wan. The milk tea is fantastic but now I like the 'yuen yeung' which is a mix of tea with milk and coffee. You can even ask for your preferred proportion of tea and coffee. And of course there is the 'po law yau', that is a traditional Hong Kong bread with pineapple crust on top plus a thick slice of butter. Unhealthy but yum.
Gorgeous! I like it very much!

This is a very nice cardigan. I like the patterns that you chose for knitting, and this is no exception: elegant and simple at the same time.

Such a elegant looking cardigan! I think the gray makes it's a perfect versatile cardigan for any outfit. You just described the perfect breakfast. The po law yau in the US is never as good as in Hong Kong.

It has the classic fit of a vintage style cardigan. Really beautiful design and the colour is classic too. The part about no seaming sounds great :)
I love yuen yang and po lo pau too, especially if it has char siew filling :)

Love the Audrey Hepburn styling - the cardigan looks lovely on you. I must admit, that the sweet tea breakfasts were one aspect of Hong Kong living that I never really took to. I love dim sum though...

So glad you're back. I love that sweater. It makes me want to drop my current project and cast on tonight, but I'm going to be strong, and put it in the queue (although maybe not at the end.)

Georgous! This looks like the perfect little cardigan. I like the colour, the style, everything. I wish I had enough patience to knit one for myself.
