Another great top. I love Swiss Dot (looks like it to me), it is so feminine. I like the sleeve detail, looks like the perfect summer top.

This top looks pretty and comfy. Good work !

Siow Chin, get a serger! It is worth buying if you like sewing.

Hello, again! After a computer implosion, I went back to school and have been meaning to visit your blog for the last three months! You have been very productive - it's nice to see your excellent work again. I have no time to sew, so I must live vicariously through your posts! :) Thanks so much for keeping the blog up, we all enjoy reading it!
p.s. I think you would love a serger, too...

Oh, that is a great top. It looks so comfortable and clean and classic all at once!

Love the details: tab sleeve and the curved yoke for the gathers on the front. You did a great job on this top. I don't use interfacing, just the fabric facing alone because I don't like how the interfacing disintegrates with wear :)
I haven't tried understitching yet but this looks like a good tutorial on grading and understitching : http://makesomething.ca/2008/07/30/tutorial-grading-understitching/

Looks beautiful! I dread understitching, but it's usually worthwhile. I'm not sure if you would need to understitch the lining to the seam allowance before you trim the allowance (maybe the video above shows you). Topstitching is a good alternative.

I'm back - that's a great tutorial Erin posted and completely answered my question!

It's really cute. I like the fold-up sleeves. Reminds me of a pattern I had from the 70's! Re: the Swiss dot issue, I 'googled' and found what I'm used to thinking about Swiss dot: smaller dots, a bit closer together, but this more modern look of your fabric, I think could be considered a variant of the classic "Swiss dot". Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful. Very well done details. And I love dotted Swiss. I have found in Vogue patterns, that there are construction details that are very clever and simple and not always found in other pattern companies. I love the curved bodice seam as well. You may get me back into sewing!

Looks great on you and beautifully sewn. The fabric is called "dotted Swiss" in the U.S.
