I've been knitting this for the past few months. However, it's the most uninteresting looking WIP ever, starting as a small dark blob and progressing into a bigger dark blob until it came off the needles. I thought I would make the picture more exciting with a background fabric. It is a Nani Iro double gauze from her 2009 collection that I bought in Tokyo with Olga and Joujouka end of last year. The background is actually dark purple.
The construction is interesting though. And completely seamless which is great. There are only a few ends to weave in and it's ready to be worn. I've wanted to make the Roko variation (ravelry link )of this but the knitted fabric of mine doesn't drape so I ripped off all the extra stitches and made the regular version.
Pattern: Summer Solstice (ravelry link), smallest size
Yarn: Yak or Camel from Wan Sha Jin Dian yarn shop in Beijing (I used it double strand and got gauge of 21st to 10cm)
Needles: Clover #8 (4.5mm) and #7 (4.2mm)
The dress is one of my favourites, and so is this cardigan.
The temperature is going to drop again next week so I'll have a chance to wear this cardigan soon and not have to wait until the next cold season.
