Here's the hat that I knitted for our old friend in Beijing. I like knitting for her as she's a very appreciative recipient, still talks about the dresses I knitted for her daughter 12 years ago. She requested for a hat in grey in a style that is very popular in Korea these days but couldn't exactly describe what style that is. I thought of a beret but husband thinks it's this slouchy one. And it has to be in that yarn, says he.
This is the N-cap photo from this Japanese knitting book (ISBN9784277114004) - Handmade Knit Style (ravelry link).

I think your hat is prettier than the one in the book - and I love the yarn, it seems to have a lovely, subtle sheen. Is the knit fabric a welted pattern? It is most attractive!

Crazy hat! I love it!!! I've not seen anything like it here in the U.S. Maybe that's the next style coming....

The big, loosey goosey cap seems to be the style this winter in the US as well. Diakieto had wonderful fiber and your cap knitted up beautifully.

Diakeito Diadomina is one of my favorite yarns, i first knit a multi=directional hate with it. I think that yarn is far superior to noro in it's colors etc. I so rarely see things knit in it (it's hard to get) and your hat looks better then the photo for the pattern!

I love that this hat is colorful and muted at the same time, both in terms of color and style! Great pick!
