Two more new books

Newbooks

The new Fall Cotton & Paint is out and full of adorable stuff as usual. Lamb lovers, check these out, little lamb softie and lambie purse.

Lamb Lambpurse

See these pin cushions? The base is made from bottle caps, as can be gathered from the title.

Then there is this cute tote bag for those who love appliques. Look how small it can be folded into. And the matching notebook.

And I've always loved bags of this shape.

I bought this book dedicated to recycling jeans into bags. I love this book, the ideas are just too cool. There are simple bags and bags with all sorts of embellishment. Just the right book to give you lots of inspirations even if you’re not joining this Bag of fun along. Pix. Thing is, I'm not a jeans girl and have only 2 pair of jeans which are still wearable.

I did a lot of cutting and I'm suffering a bit from cutting burnt out. Actually, I cut up materials for two and a half bags only and it's the drawing bit that tired me out. And the ironing. The Japanese pattern books that I'm using do not come with to scale ready-to-cut patterns so I have to draw them out myself. This time, I knew better to draw out on paper than to draw direct on the fabric like I did for the first two totes.

Found out about Etsy from Naive Knitting. It is a market place for handmade items. Check it out.
