I thought I've got an 'identical twin' for the second sock until the heels reviewed one has more orange than the other. There, it's right at the start of the heel turn. Well, well, I knitted on anyway. Life is too short to worry about a little bit more orange on a sock heel.
The stripes again matched up on the foot until the toe. And again one has a just a tad more orange at the tip.
Here they are on the recipient's feet. A belated birthday present for Princess Fiona, one of my colleagues and lunch buddies whose boyfriend knits too.
Talking about birthdays, my little one will be officially promoted to the status of a 'terrible two' tomorrow. Here's to more tongue sticking! Err, why no birthday knitwear this year, mummy?
Funky socks!! Nope, I don't anyone is going to stick their heads down to makes sure those stripes match. I bought more sock yarn, so I'll just have to learn to knit them! :D

Oh my - methinks I am not detail oriented enough, but I don't really see your mismatch. I don't think anyone will notice! Happy b-day to your 2yr old, I have a recent two-er as well (6/23) and its not been too terrible yet.

I love the colours of your socks ... truly happy colours! Are we supposed to have identical socks with variegated yarns? I always thought it is next to impossible for me ... never worried about this anyway.
Happy birthday to the beautiful little girl!

Whoa! Those socks are awesome, and nobody would have noticed the little bit of orange had you not mentioned it. And that is coming from me, the most stripe matching obsessed person I know.

Gorgeous socks! The bright colors turned out beautifully! I am working on my first pair (first one, actually) and it's very frustrating. After seeing yours, I think I may be tempted to work on mine.

Those socks are the cutest danged things ever! The recipient is very lucky indeed.

At least the recipient will know which sock to wear on the right and which to wear on the left.

The socks are gorgeous and your girls are so cute in those previous photos! I've been so out of touch I missed the tumbling blocks - the intarsia is so perfect.
Have a great day!
