Stripey and the pre-terrible-two

Voila, Stripey Cardigan with the pink neckband and purple button band.

Stripey_1

Yarn requirement: 2 balls pink variegated Jaeger Baby Merino DK, 1 ball each purple Jaeger Baby Merino DK, cream colour King Cole Anti-tickle yarn, blue Rowan Designer DK
Needles: Clover size 7 (4.2 mm) for body and Clover size 5 (3.6mm) for borders
Pattern: This Japanese pattern book

Before leaving for JY's school Christmas concert this morning (which was great), I sewed up the buttons and tried to get Miss CY to model the cardigan for some photos. She put on the cardigan without much protest but refused to change out of her pajamas pants. So there's a struggle as mummy is running out of time and if I don't get the photos today, I've got to wait until this weekend, by which time, we would be in Singapore. So out came the baby lotion which diverted her attention from the pants but still no smile from her, 'mummy is so bad', she must be thinking. Imagine that in July, she's a pliable adorable little baby who willingly wore her pink baby dress with a nice, big smile and now I have to negotiate with her. The 'terrible twos' has come early.

This evening I came home from the office with two lovely parcels waiting for me! I can't stop smiling, will talk about them later. Thank you, thank you! Got to take some pictures tomorrow morning.

What a sweet sweater on a sweet little grrl. Good job!

The sweater turned out so well!

The sweater is sweet and so is the little girl. Distraction is the key to getting a quick photo! :)

As usual your sense of color and texture is perfect. The cardigan looks darling on your little girl.As for the terrible 2, as the mother of 3 pretty nice teenage girls, I promise you this too shall pass!

The sweater is beautiful as is your little daughter. I love your solution to the yarn shortage~ it looks great.

What a lucky girl to have so many beautiful, hand-knit items. :)

Nice sweater ! The colour match quite well and it has some different texture effect.

What is your project ?

That kid is cute. Great fit and style on the sweater.

She's so cute in that lovely sweater!

That turned out beautiful. I'll have to make one for my boy now. I think he and Chung Yi are about the same age. Gregory was born in March last year.
He's starting to stand still for photos but keeps peering over the side of the camera to try and see my face.
But they're great at this age, aren't they?

Siow Chin...I love the sweater! The purple button band looks fabulous. What an adorable sweater! :-)

Wow! Amazing...love the textures. And your finishing is great! How long will you be in Singapore for? Would you care to catch up?

How cute and adorable is she? And that sweater looks absolutely perfect! Great job!!

wonderful sweater and beautiful pics! what a cutie!

Darling pictures of your pre-2 model. Adorable even if she's not smiling. Also I enjoyed the pink baby dress, which I had missed. I love all the shapes you used to decorate the yoke. Precious and stylin'! xooxx Kay

Oh, Chung Yi is so adorable in this sweater!

And, the pajama pants look like they match the blue stripe in the fabric... if you hadn't said anything, I would've thought the color combination was planned.

What a darling little girl!

so cute :) but i think now she is a big girl :)
