Ah, many thanks to you all for the nice compliments on the baby dress! Chung Yi doesn't seem to mind the dress too. At this stage, even if she has any comments, she won't be able to voice out yet. At least she didn't pull at the dress when I put it on her. Here's my sweet little princess. She's got curly hair but it's not obvious in this photo with the hair-clip on.
These are my girls. We decided to celebrate her birthday in advance last Sat afternoon as we realized that it is this coming Saturday that we'll be going to Singapore for a week to visit my parents. The next available weekend for a family gathering would be the 17th and it is unauspicious in Chinese custom to celebrate one's birthday after it. So we got the cake and called the cousins to come for the fun. My mother-in-law was so clever to have the words "Happy 1st Birthday to Chung Yi and Happy Birthday to Ji Yuan" written on the birthday cake so that the elder one won't feel left out. Chung Yi was so excited she shoved her foot right into the cake and gave us all a good laugh.
So no France for us this year. Husband decides to stick to Singapore for our summer holiday. He's quite right, we need the support of family with the two kids around. No worries, there are many wonderful sights to bring the children to in Singapore.
What sweet little girls! Happy Birthday to Chung Yi, and Happy (symbolic) Birthday to Ji Yuan! Chung Yi's birthday dress is absolutely darling. You did a fantastic job on it! Time for a project for *you* now!

I was looking for a yarn on the internet and found this site. What a pretty little girl! And the dress looks quite beautiful on her. I have a daughter around the same age (she will be 2 on May 27th) and I also knit for her.

What a beautiful dress! Your girls are adorable! I am expecting a baby girl in a few weeks, and have been knitting little dresses like crazy. Do you have the pattern (or can you tell me where to find it) for this perfect little dress?

Hello! I just came across your blog while searching for a knit baby dress. This little pink gem is by far the best I have seen! I see that it is a Japanese pattern and wonder if you might point me to a version in English, or perhaps something similar as I see that you received MANY requests for the pattern. Your work is beautiful, as are your baby girls. THANK YOU!
